The Town of Fairfield is pleased to co-present with the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce our next “Shop & Stroll into Spring” event on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Participating stores in downtown Fairfield will stay open late and will offer shoppers an assortment of complimentary hors d’oeuvres and seasonal refreshments from 5 pm to 9 pm. Select restaurants will also be offering small plate, appetizer and drink specials throughout the evening.

This year, for the first time, local merchants are partnering with the Fairfield Foundation for Education, a community non-profit organization that awards grants to Fairfield public school teachers and educators who are working to enrich the curriculum with creative and innovative learning opportunities. The Foundation will be offering a keepsake wine glass at the selected retailers for a donation of $10. The celebratory stemware will be available at Twisted Vine, Vintage Garden, and the Beehive, all of which are located on the Post Road, and at the Fairfield Museum and History Center during the day and evening of the event. In addition to the keepsake wine glass, shoppers will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing for several great prizes, including a downtown shopping spree. More information about FFFE’s work can be found at http://www.fairfieldffe.org.
